Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album,‘Timeless’.

The singer made the announcement via his official Twitter handle on Tuesday, March 21, in a short video clip that has since gone viral.

According to Davido’s post, ‘Timeless’ is set to drop on Friday, March 31st. The album has been highly anticipated by fans and music lovers alike, with many eagerly awaiting its release since the singer first teased it after his historic performance at the World Cup final in Qatar last year.

To finish work on the album, Davido took a break from social media, leaving his fans guessing about when the album would drop.

However, on March 21, he returned to social media to make the announcement that his fans had been waiting for.

In his Twitter post, Davido wrote:

“There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak & A time for Silence. Thank you to everyone out there for your love and that has held me down. My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st.

His Son’s Death

On October 31, 2022, Peoples Gazettenewspaper reported the death of David Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr., the first son and third child of Davido, who drowned in the swimming pool at his father’s Banana Island residence; he was three years old at the time of his death.

Members of Davido’s household staff were questioned by the police. A total of eight domestic workers were invited to the police station for questioning after one had initially gone to the police station to report the drowning accident. Following the police’s investigation, six workers were released and two remained in detention.

After the incident, Davido went into oblivion, perhaps to mourn the death of his young son, Ifeanyi.
